Mihaela was born in Romania, graduated the Foreign Trade Faculty in Bucharest, Romania with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree. She worked in Romania as a Foreign Trade specialist for 6 years and as an Assistant Professor at the University for 13 years. In 1992, she immigrated to Canada and she immediately started working in the immigration field, with a well-known lawyer, specialized in immigration. Mihaela graduated with high honors the "Immigration Practitioner Certificate Program" at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto.

Mihaela is a member of the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC). Mihaela is the founder of CGS Consultants Inc. and also became an active OPIC member in 1996.  She has established a successful business having clients from all over the world.
